Sam Walker
Artist, Designer, Maker, based in Suffolk.
Sam Walker (b. 1986, London) is an artist, curator and printmaker based in Suffolk. Since completing a BA in Fine Art at the University of Leeds Sam has spent 15 years working with artists and galleries, while also gaining an MA in Fine Art from Camberwell College of Art and Design. In 2015 he co-founded Assembly Point – an artist-run gallery and studio space in south London, which he ran until 2019. During that time Sam oversaw an acclaimed exhibition programme, working with many up-and-coming artists early in their careers.
Sam has always had an interest in making, and has developed a multi disciplinary practice over the years. He maintains an interest in sculpture and installation, but is currently exploring the world of printmaking at Sudbourne Park print studio. Since joining the studio in early 2023, Sam has mainly focused on woodcut printmaking. His work is inspired by colours, forms and textures that surround us in the built and natural world, and his work seeks to explore the untold stories hidden therein.
